Thoughts on Gibraltar - It's Hong Kong Revisited.

Once again we see the rights of a more-free people surrendered to the authority of a less-free people. This may not seem like a major concession given the scale of the economic interests involved but the principle of political representation is absolutely crucial for EVERYONE. In ceding sovereign power to a hostile authority Theresa May has declared her active opposition to the very principle of enlightened government, namely, that ultimate political authority rests with people. We have not seen this level of treachery since the American Revolution when George III sought such powers for himself. Theresa May, I trust, is about to be taught a fundamental principle of parliamentary politics - that neither the people of Gibraltar nor the people of the United Kingdom are OWNED by their governments.
